Tip #2


Mow perennial food plots for weed control if needed.

  1. When mowing in spring, start in the middle of the plot and work out to the edges to preserve turkey nests and insects.
  2. Mow perennial clover mixes for weed control.
  3. Mow perennial grasses to promote regrowth and provide for turkey brood rearing.

Tip #3


Get soil tests for fall food plots. Apply lime according to soil tests or as needed.
